Kreutzer - Kreuzer - Strumpfwirker

I start to study the Vienna address books since 1859. I found the Strumfwarenhandlerin KREUTZER Anna. My mother's second cousin, Horst Kreuzer, born in Kronstadt, Siebenbuergen, is a descendant of a Kreuzer coming from Vienna. He told me that the name was Kreutzer and then Kreuzer. Kreuzer from Vienna married Anna Ludwig from Kronstadt (Brasov), sister of my mother's grandmother, Victoria Ludwig. Leopold Ludwig (1824-1888) had a Strumfwaren Fabrik in Kronstadt. His daughters were Anna, Maria and Viktoria. Leopold was the last Strumfwirker, his father Franz was registered in the Strumpfwirker Guild book from Engelsberg, Austrian Silesia. Now things become more clear. 1859 1861 The house from Franziskanerplatz 6 is the next house of Weihburggase 3 ! 1865 Franziskanerplatz 6  - link ! Singerstrasse 3  - link ! Franz Ludwig Sr. family from Dittersdorf

  Franz (Anton) Ludwig Sr. was born in Dittersdorf. First 6 children were born in Dittersdorf. Juliana died in Neu Arad, Banat. The 7th and 8th children, Leopold and Joseph, were born in Neu Arad. Interesting is the death certificate of the 6th child, Theresia, who died in Brasov. There are mentioned Dittersdorf and Arad:

Ludwig family arrived in Kronstadt Brasov Romania between 1826-1848. They came from Dittersdorf am Kirchberg (Detrichovice, Bruntal), Austrian Silezia (catholic). They spent about 5 years in New Arad, Banat, Romania. It is possible that before arriving to Kronstadt they lived also in Hermannstadt (Sibiu), Romania. I found the Ludwig family in the Kronstadt address books from 1850 to 1916. They had a place in the Blumenau catholic cemetery closed in 1987. Henriette, the first wife of Leopold, died in 1861: Anna Agnes Neumann born in 1840 in Jihlava (Iglau), now Czech republic was the second wife of Leopold Ludwig born in 1824 in New Arad Banat Romania. They married in Kronstadt in 1861. Leopold's brother, Franz Ludwig, married in 1850 in Hermannstadt (Sibiu) Romania with Magdalena Hummel as second wife. First wife of Franz Ludwig was Elisabeth Pichler who died in 1850. Leopold was Strumpfwirkermeister - knitwear (socks) manufacturer. He was outside the G...
